About the event
Join us for a walk in the woods to get to know your fungal neighbours. Winter is the ideal time to spot wood-decaying fungi, including species like the Turkey Tail, Jelly Brain and Black Witches Butter! We will learn how to identify common cold-season fungi and explore the role of fungi in the ecosystem and human culture. Book here.
Mushrooms are mysterious. They capture our imagination like no other organisms. Perceived as live-giving, mind-blowing and deadly, they simultaneously inspire fear, wonder and confusion. Against the odds, fungi thrive in big cities like London too. Please note that this event is for educational purposes and is not a foraging course.
