Join us for a walk in the woods to get to know your fungal neighbours
Time & Location
29 Jan 2023, 10:45 – 14:00 GMT

About the event
Join us for a walk in the woods to get to know your fungal neighbours. Winter is the ideal time to spot wood-decaying fungi, including species like the Turkey Tail, Jelly Brain and Black Witches Butter! We will learn how to identify common cold-season mushroom species and explore the role of fungi in the ecosystem and human culture.
Join us from 10.45am for free mushroom tea (bring your own cup!), with the foray starting at 11am.
Families are most welcome, including children accompanied by an adult. Please note that this event is for educational purposes and is not a foraging course.
