About the event
Join us for a walk in the woods to get to know your fungal neighbours. We will learn how to identify common mushroom species and explore the role of fungi in the ecosystem.
Mushrooms are mysterious. They capture our imagination like no other organisms. Perceived as live-giving, mind-blowing and deadly, they simultaneously inspire fear, wonder and confusion. Against the odds, fungi thrive in big cities like London too.
The foray will be led by Mike from the London Fungus Network and David Satori, conservationist and founder of Rewilding Mycology.
PLEASE NOTE that this event is for educational purposes and is not a foraging course.
Fungus Fortnight is supported by Waltham Forest Council.
